30 Seconds To Mars profita de fani?

dulcica15  Offering unprecedented access for fans to actually contribute material towards the next Thirty Seconds to Mars album, singer-guitarist-songwriter Jared Leto tells Billboard.com that, beginning today, the group is allowing sounds and vocals to be uploaded directly to the rock band via Twitter on the "The Digital Summit" (twitvid.com/mars).

dulcica15  Thirty Seconds To Mars is kicking off a groundbreaking interactive online recording experience known as The Digital Summit today. With over 100 million views on YouTube, 28 million plays on MySpace, and more than one million fans on iLike/Facebook, Thirty Seconds To Mars have always been quick to embrace digital culture and the band (Jared Leto (vocals, guitar, songwriter), Shannon Leto (drums) and Tomo Miličević (guitar)) have decided to use that same digital technology to offer their community across the globe a chance to get involved in the record making process through Twitter. Jared Leto explains, "we were looking for a way to share the recording process with our friends, fans and family around the world and this was a perfect opportunity to do just that." Starting today, participants will be able to record sounds and vocals from their personal computers and mobile devices for inclusion on the album by uploading them to twitvid.com. The Digital Summit was born out of the success of an earlier recording experiment. This past April, Thirty Seconds To Mars teamed up with their core followers (The Echelon) to record sounds for their upcoming album at a unique event in Los Angeles they dubbed, "The Summit." People from all over the world came together to join the band in an innovative recording session at the Avalon Theater in Hollywood. Since then, Thirty Seconds To Mars has organized summits globally, holding events in countries across the world including Australia, Italy, Germany, France, Japan, Mexico, United Kingdom and Canada in order to give their listeners an opportunity to be a part of their new album.

dulcica15  *Lady Litigator – Lisa Fantino, Award winning NY journalist turned attorney with an opinion about everything!* *Westchester entertainment attorney sees smart bands embracing cyberspace* *August 12, 2009 at 9:55 AM* On the heels of my recent post regarding the recording industry chasing its tail, playing catch-up with cyber technology, comes a story this week about one smart band embracing its inner “Twitter.” 30 Seconds to Mars is actually using the Twitter platform to invite fans to contribute to its next album. Sounds and vocals can be submitted by fans, who can uploaded contributions directly to them via Twitter on the “The Digital Summit.” The band’s Digital Summit evolved out of a live experiment they did in several countries, recording audience sound clips along the way. They were smart enough to realize that limited their reach in terms of audience numbers and decided to go virtual. Enter the Twitterverse, where fans can contribute to the next 30 Seconds to Mars album, scheduled for release later this year. It’s tentatively titled “This is War.” I think it’s an ingenious recognition by a band who’s smart enough to realize technology is light years ahead of the old music model and it’s time to catch the wave or drown in its wake. JoannaEchelonRO  30 Seconds to Mars profita de fani? Cum?
