Biografie Frank Sinatra

Frank Sinatra

Cariera lui a stagnat pana la inceputul anilor 50’ insa a luat o nota ascendenta in 1954 dupa ce a castigat un premiu oscar pentru cel mai bun rol secundar in filmul “From Here to Eternity”.

Frank Sinatra a semnat un contract cu Capitol Records si a lansat cateva albume apreciate de critici (“In the Wee Small Hours”, “Songs for Swingin' Lovers”, “Come Fly with Me”, “Only the Lonely” and “Nice 'n' Easy”). Sinatra a parasit Capitol pentru a forma propria lui casa de discuri – Reprise Records (avand succes cu albume ca Ring-A-Ding-Ding, Sinatra at the Sands and Francis Albert Sinatra & Antonio Carlos Jobim), a avut turnee mondiale si a fraternizat cu gasca Rat Pack (Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr., Peter Lawford si Joey Bishop) si cu Presedintele John F. Kennedy la inceputul anilor 60’. In 1965 Sinatra implineste 50 de ani, inregistreaza retrospectiva “September of My Years”, apare in programul de televiziune “Frank Sinatra: A Man and His Music” si inregistreaza hiturile "Strangers in the Night" si "My Way".

Francis Albert Sinatra este nascut pe 12 Decembrie 1915 pe 415 Monroe Street, Hoboken, New Jersey.

In 1935, cu ajutorul mamei sale a convins grupul vocal local – The Three Flashes - sa-l includa si pe el in gasca.

In 1941 Sinatra devine unul dintre cei mai apreciati cantareti in sondajele revistelor Billboard si Downbeat. In 1941 Sinatra a inregistrat 29 de piese si a fost numit “Male Vocalist of the Year” de catre revista Billboard.

In anul 1943 Sinatra semneaza cu Columbia Records ca artist solo cu un succes initial foarte mare, in mod particular in timpul revoltei muzicienilor din 42’ – 44’. Sinatra a avut unele succese in aceasta perioada spre finalul revoltei inregistrand unul dintre cele mai mari hituri ale sale "Saturday Night (Is the Loneliest Night of the Week)". "Sinatra-mania" devine oficiala!

Pe 4 martie in acelasi an lanseaza albumul de debut “The Voice of Frank Sinatra”.

In septembrie 1951 isi face debutul in Las Vegas la Desert Inn.

In 1957 Sinatra isi muta - The Frank Sinatra Show – la ABC pentru 3 milioane de dolari.

Continua sa sustina turnee, in ciuda problemelor de sanatate, in prima parte a anilor 90’.
