Frontman-ul Prodigy a murit saptamana trecuta in locuinta sa din Essex. Artistul avea 49 de ani. Imediat dupa ce acesta a murit, formatia a anuntat printr-o postare pe o retea de socializare ca artistul s-a sinucis. Autoritatile au facut public faptul ca Keith a murit spanzurat iar moartea nu este tratata ca fiind suspecta. Se asteapta si un raport toxicologic care insa va fi disponibil abia la finalul lunii Iulie. Legistul Lynsey Chaffe a declarat: "Police attended, all protocols were followed and his death was confirmed as not suspicious."
Un fan a murit in timpul unui concert Ghost
In timpul concertului pe care Ghost l-a sustintul in Milwaukee, un fan pur si simplu s-a prabuisit ca urmare a unui stop cardiac. Chiar daca personalul medical a incercat sa il resusciteze mai mult de 20 de minute, tragedia nu a putut fi evitata. Concertul a fost ulterior anulat. Cei de la GHOST au declarat urmatoarele: "This morning we learned that the man taken to the hospital from our show last night in Milwaukee passed away from natural causes. Our hearts are broken for him & his family. Again we ask you to send the family your prayers, condolences & respect their privacy during this time."
Autoritatile au declarat ca decesul solistei The Cranberries, Dolores O`Riordan, nu ridica suspiciuni
Circumstantele mortii lui Dolores O'Riordan, solista The Cranberries au fost investigate ce Scotland Yard care au declarat printr-un purtator de cuvant ca nu ridica suspiciuni. Artista a fost gasita moarta la hotelul Hilton din Park Lane, Londra. Dolores urma sa inregistreze un cover dupa piesa Zombie alaturi de formatia Bad Wolves. Iata ce au declarat autoritatile londoneze: "Police in Westminster have dealt with a sudden death. Officers were called at 9.05am on Monday 15 January to a hotel in Park Lane, W1. A 46-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is not being treated as suspicious. A report will be compiled for the coron er.”
Warrel Dane, solistul Nevermore si Sanctuary a decedat
Warrel Dane, artistul care a facut istorie cu Sanctuary si Nevermore a murit astazi, 13 Decembrie, in Sao Paulo, Brazilia. Acesta se afla in America de Sud pentru a definitiva al doilea sau album solo. Cauza morti a fost un atac de cord. Dupa supsele chitaristului Johnny Moraes, desi ambulanta a ajuns rapid la locuinta artistului, Warrel era deja mort. "He died in the night. He was in the apartment where he stayed during the recording of the album when it happened. I gave him cardiac massage and we called the Mobile Emergency Care Service, who came very fast, but when they arrived, he was already dead." Moraes a continuat spunand: "His health was already very weak because of his diabetes and his problems with alcoholism. He was already facing a lot of health problems." Tom Petty, artist care a castigat de 3 ori premiul Grammy, a murit in urma unui stop cardiac, ieri, 2 Octombrie, in Los Angeles. Anunutul a fost facut de managerul artistului: " On behalf of the Tom Petty family, we are devastated to announce the untimely death of of our father, husband, brother, leader and friend Tom Petty. He suffered cardiac arrest at his home in Malibu in the early hours of this morning and was taken to UCLA Medical Center but could not be revived. He died peacefully at 8:40 p.m. PT surrounded by family, his bandmates and friends.". De-a lungul carierei, Petty a cantat cu artisti precum Eric Clapton, Stevie Nicks, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash si multi altii.
Geoff Nicholls, fostul clapar Black Sabbath, a murit la 68 de ani
Geoff Nicholls a fost claparul formatiei Black Sabbath din 1979 pana in 2004, inregistrand alaturi de formatie toate albumele de la Heaven and Hell din '80 pana la Live at the Hammersmith Odeon din 2007. Artistul a murit sambata dimineata (28 Ianuarie) la varsta de 68 de ani. Geoff suferea de cancer la plamani. Iata de a declarat Tony Iommi la aflarea vestii: 'I'm so saddened to hear the loss of one of my dearest and closest friends Geoff Nicholls. He's been suffering for a while now with lung cancer and he lost his battle this morning. Geoff and I have always been very close and he has been a real true friend to me and supported me all the way for nearly 40 years. I will miss him dearly and he will live in my heart until we meet again. Rest In Peace my dear friend. Tony"

Piesa "It Still Hurts" a flst inregistrata de Doro impreuna cu Lemmy in 2012, iar clipul prezinta imagini cu cei doi care ne arata cat de puternica era prietenia dintre cei doi artisti. Familia si apropiatii regretatului artist George Michael este complesita de cuvintele si mesajele primite dupa decesul acestuia. George Michael a decedat pe 25 decembrie in casa sa din Oxfordshire din cauza unei insuficiente cardiace. Un reprezentant al artistului a vorbit in mumele familiei sale si a dat un comunicat in care a exprimat recunostinta familiei pentru mesajele primite. "The family and close friends of George have been touched beyond words by the incredible outpouring of love for him in the hours and days since his death. For someone whose life was ultimately about his music and the love he had for his family and friends, his fans and the world at large, there could be no more fitting tribute than the many, many, kind words that have been said and the numerous plays his records have received. Rick Parfitt, unul dintre veteranii rock-ului britanic a decedat in cursul zilei de 24 decembrie, la varsta de 68 de ani. Cauza mortii de datoreaza septicemiei pe care a facut-o din cauza unei rani la umar. Managerul trupei, Simon Porter, a publicat urmatoarea declaratie oficiala: "On behalf of family, band, management, crew, Rick’s many friends and, not least, Quo’s huge army of fans, I would like to thank everyone who has sent messages of sympathy and support today.
